yes , you can make
Remember you’re trying to simulate natural growing conditions for this plant. Plants take many cues from how much sun they get: shorter days means winter is coming. You want the plant to first think it’s spring so it will germinate, then summer so it will grow, then autumn so it will flower.
You start out low for the little shoots , so you don’t burn the leaves or stems. You go to more so the young plants can get as much UV as possible to help it grow to a healthy plant when, you would turn down the amount of light so that it won’t become over dry, harsh or killed.
To mimic the solar cycles of the seasons.
UV is not necessary for cannabis to grow and actually causes damage to the plant in high concentrations, which most likely led cannabis to evolve the ability to excrete THC to protect itself from UV. Don’t bother with 16/8, just start out with an 18/6 light cycle and switch to a 12/12 light cycle when you’re ready to flower. There’s been multiple tests with light cycle manipulations with cannabis and the general consensus is that 18/6 or 20/4 to 12/12 light cycles are the most productive. Some quick words of advice, avoid light leaks in flower at all costs unless you want seeded flowers and cannabis will stretch 2-3x its original height in 12/12.
